Join the StoryRunners® staff team and help us fulfill the Great Commission among unreached people groups in oral cultures. As a missionary staff member of the StoryRunners team, your unique talents will help local people develop oral Bible stories in order to launch church planting movements among unreached people in oral cultures.
A variety of roles are available to help us reach this vision; some positions require regular international travel while other professional roles can be done from our Orlando office at Lake Hart, the headquarters of Cru®.
All Cru missionary staff positions develop a team of ministry partners to fund their salary and ministry expenses.

Full Time
Build and lead a team of fund development staff that invite people to partner in what God is doing through StoryRunners. Your vital role will implement a variety of strategies to develop relationships and invite partners to invest in equipping people in unreached people groups to launch church planting movements through oral Bible stories.
Invite people to partner in what God is doing through StoryRunners. Your vital role will implement a variety of strategies to develop relationships and invite partners to invest in equipping people in unreached people groups to launch church planting movements through oral Bible stories.
Equip local people in remote locations to produce oral Bible stories in order to launch church planting movements among unreached people who don’t have access to the Bible. Your exciting role will require you to travel internationally for a month at a time, up to four times per year, to far away locations.
When not traveling, you will serve in our Orlando office, helping fulfill the vision of StoryRunners to see followers of Christ in communities of faith among unreached people groups living in oral cultures.
Develop, implement and manage a marketing plan for StoryRunners that will attract potential ministry partners, staff, interns and volunteers to generate good will for the purpose of accomplishing the StoryRunners vision.
Writer – General Communications
Write communications pieces that help move StoryRunnners forward to see followers of Christ in communities of faith among unreached people groups living in oral cultures. Your role will capture StoryRunners voice through promotional materials, website content, marketing strategies and other communication pieces. You will educate and invite those outside of StoryRunners to be a part of equipping local people to develop oral Bible stories in order to launch church planting movements among unreached people who don’t have access to the Bible.
Writer – Partner Communication
Capture what God is doing through StoryRunners as you invite ministry partners to invest their time, talent and treasure in the mission. Your role will be to document how God is using StoryRunners to equip people in unreached people groups to launch church planting movements through oral Bible stories. Through the communication pieces you write, ministry partners will gain a vision of their vital connection to seeing followers of Christ in communities of faith among unreached people groups in oral cultures.
The School of Storying (SOS) team leader provides management supervision and staff care for the SOS team, the ministry engine of StoryRunners, to develop oral Bible stories for unreached people in oral cultures. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience and skills for a small but growing team.
The candidate will work closely with experienced SOS team members to prepare new staff and interns to become story development coaches and assign team members to SOS language projects. The candidate should have a strong biblical knowledge to act as a direction setter for story development training and for the expansion of StoryRunners oral Bible story library.
This position is pivotal in creating a healthy and flourishing team. You will be involved in the entire Leadership Development and Human Resources (LDHR) framework, focusing on the growth and development of team members, fostering a flourishing team culture and ensuring effective onboarding and mobilization of new staff. Additionally, you will provide essential staff care and manage HR processes, all the while aligning efforts with the ministry’s goals.
Part time LDHR sub roles are also available such as Intern Coordinator, Sending Coordinator and Leadership Development and Training.
